About Us

Kahina is an undergrad at the University of Notre Dame studying Media and Communications. She grew up in Paris and has spent her last three years exploring Sydney. Her French and Algerian roots tend to influence her cooking and she can whip up some beautiful heart-warming dishes. Whenever she’s in the mood for something sweet you can find her hunting down a delicious Red Velvet cupcake.

Allie is an undergrad at the University of Technology, Sydney studying Journalism. She grew up on the East Coast of the United States, lived in Washington, D.C. and Rome for a bit and then headed down to Sydney. She’s blonde and loves to bake and try out new recipes found in the blogger-sphere. Though one of her all-time favourite meals is still pretty simple (and cheap!), a plate of those delicious Ikea meatballs and chips drowned in that creamy gravy sauce.

Enjoy Urban Feast!

I love your site, so informative. I live in Qld but both my grown up sons live in Sydney so all this information is great to pass on to them. Love your recipes and have printed out a couple to try. Keep up the good work and success in your studies.

Hey girls, love the blogs. I used a lot of the hummingbird recipes too. Kahina is great to see you are still loving Sydney, its a long way from our days drinking espresso at the criterion. Sarah (Ireland). xxx

    • Hey Sarah! Thanks for the kind words 🙂 I’m glad you’ve been following the blog. Really hope you enjoy it. It’s been a long way since Perth, Singapore and Dublin. And yes Hummingbird on Portobello Road in London is such a great bakery. Maybe I’ll see you there next time I’m in Europe. xxx

Hey Kahina, yes will definitely have to have a coffee and cake in London if you are back this side of the world in the near future. Loving the blog, thinking of doing something similar about Dublin & my recent cooking , will keep you posted. Congrats on graduating also, take care,
